Sub Engineer/ Civil (Permanent Way/ Works/Bridge) job at Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore

Applications are invited by the Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore from candidates to fill up vacancies on contract basis in the following categories.

-Matric II Div with science

-03 years Diploma of Associate Engineering in Civil Technology.

QUOTAS AND JURISDICTION

(i) For item No.1 to 6, only those applicants are eligible to apply who are permanent residents/ possess domicile of the area/region against whom quota vacancies are available.

(ii) For item No.7, only those applicants are eligible to apply on the basis of their domicile, who belong to the Civil Districts & Tehsils falling under the territorial jurisdiction of respective Railway Administrative Divisions i.e. Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta & Karachi. Divisions are available on the website of Pakistan Railways i.e. www.pakrail.gov.pk. iii) Applicants can apply for more than one post as per qualification requirements.

The following quotas for the category of Assistant Station Master/Gr-l (item no.7)

(i)58% quota for Open Merit.

(ii)20% quota for son of Railway employee including 2% fixed for son of Rly deceased employee.

(ii)10% quota for ex-servicemen.

Additional quotas to be observed (Item no. 1-7)

(1)5% quota for Minorities/non Muslims in all categories.

(ii)5% quota for orphans / Destitute in all categories.

(iii)2% quota for disabled persons (where applicable).

AGIT LIMIT

(i)18-25 years + 5 years General Age Relaxation in upper age limit on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. 28.08.2024.

(ii) The age of candidates belonging to the scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Rural & Balochistan, recognized tribes of the Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas is relaxed for 3 years in addition to item No.1 above.

(iii)In case of Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less. 

(iv) The age of Government servants and contract employees who have completed 2 years continuous Government service on the closing date for receipt of application is relaxed by 10 years up to the age of 55 years. 

(v) The age of disabled candidates is 10 years. 

(vi) The age of widow or child of deceased Civil Servant who has died during service is relaxed by 05 years in addition.

(vii)Where a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one category specified (item No. (ii) to (v) above, he shall be allowed relaxation in age only in one category.
