Director General, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (DG PCAA)

The Government of Pakistan requires services of dynamic, experienced, and high caliber professionals for the position of Director General, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (DG PCAA). The prescribed qualification, experience, age limit and other terms of appointment are as under.

Max age limit

57 years

Qualification & Experience

An officer in the service of Pakistan; an officer of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA);

or any other person having an experience of ten years in civil aviation or regulatory

enforcement.

(1) In case of candidate from the service of Pakistan:

(a) Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university or institute recognized by the Higher  Education Commission;

(b) an overall experience of twenty-five years in management and administration;

(c) three years' experience as a head of an administrative department of a Provincial Government, an attached department or Division of the Federal Government or a regulatory authority under any of these Governments;

(d) three years' experience in enforcement of regulatory, local or special laws;

(e) three years' experience in public procurement or direct supervision of public procurement; and

(f) serving in Basic Pay Scale 21, equivalent or above in the service of Pakistan.

                                                              OR

(2) In case of a candidate from service of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority:

(a) Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university or institute recognized by the Higher

Education Commission;

(b) an overall experience of twenty-five years as an officer of the PCAA;

(c) three years' experience in public procurement or direct supervision of public procurement; and

(d) serving as regular Deputy Director General, equivalent or above in the PCAA.

                                                                 OR

(3) In case of a candidate from private sector:

(a) Masters degree or equivalent from a university or institute recognized by the Higher                                  Education Commission; and

(b) ten years' experience of civil aviation or regulatory enforcement of which at least five

years' experience at senior management positions in the public or private sector.

Emoluments

The appointing authority shall determine the salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Director General PCAA including key performance indicators for effective discharge of his/her duties.

Max. age & Tenure:-

Maximum age limit on the date of assumption of charge of office should be 57 years. The selected candidate shall be appointed for a term of three (03) years.
