General Manager (Accounting & Finance) job at PIA
PIA Holding Company Limited (PIAHCL), incorporated by the Government of Pakistan (GOP to systematically manage non-care business segments, subsidiaries, associate, non-operational assets, and restructured legacy liabilities of Pakistan International Airlines corporation Limited (PIACI, is seeking an experienced General Manager for Accounting & Finance to join our executive team. The General Manager for Accounting & Finance will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and direction of the following transaction. Additionally, he / she will be responsible for safeguarding the interests of PIAHCL on ownership and reserve matters, authorized capital investments, guarantees, warranties, and other company performance indicators / KPIS, as well as engaging with investors to achieve business objectives for the sustainability of PIAHCL.

Educational qualification:
Chartered Account/ACМА
OR
Chartered Accountant/ACMA
OR
CIMA/ACCA and/or MBA Finance (from a reputable Institute)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience In case of CA/ACMA
- Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience In case of CIMA/ACCA and/or MBA Finance
Key Competencies:
- Strong Knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, drive innovation, and manage reframing measures.
- Ability to make decisions in a complex environment and to handle complex financial scenarios.
- Capable in generating financial reports, handling affairs related to banks, treasury management and audit compliance & control.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP system, financial planning tools).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good team player with ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Professional individual with strong business ethics & personal integrity.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement Company's Business Plan and financial strategies aligned with the company's overall vision and objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Safeguard the interest of PIAHCL on ownership and reserved matters, authorized capital investments, guarantees,warranties, and other company KPIs.
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and treasury management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop contingency plans.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive business growth and profitability.
- Provide financial guidance and support to various departments.
- Develop and manage the finance team, ensuring their growth and development.
- Develop and maintain the company's financial model, including forecasts for revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Prepare annual budget and track performance against budget throughout the year.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather input and align budgetary goals with business objectives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, identifying trends and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Oversee day-today accounting operations, Including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, law, and Internal controls.
- Coordinate audits with external auditors and implement recommendations as needed.
- Develop cash flow projections and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand business objectives and support strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis for new product launches, partnerships, and business expansion.
- Sign cheques, bank transfer orders, letters of credit etc. within a defined framework.
- Prepare financial reports for submission to third parties such as banks, government agencies etc.

Note:
- Selected candidates will be hired on a two-year contract basis which is (extendable on requirement and / or satisfactory performance).
- Position will be filled purely on a merit basis with a market-driven package, based at Islamabad.
