SITUATION VACANT

Azad Jammu & Kashmir Information Technology Board invites applications for the post of Director General IT Board. Applications from candidates possessing the following academic qualifications and experience for appointment on a contract basis are required:-

Qualification and Experience

PhD in Computer Sciences/Information Technology/Software Engineering or IT-related disciplines from an HEC-recognized university with 10 years of experience in the relevant field including 3 years experience in IT-related senior management level positions.

OR

Masters in Computer Sciences/Information Technology/Software Engineering or IT-related disciplines from an HEC-recognized university with 12 years of experience in the relevant field including 5 years experience in IT-related senior management level position.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Hardcopy of the application along with educational certificates, experience certificates, domicile and CNIC, and two fresh photographs must reach the address given below within 15 days of the publication in newspapers.
2. The State subjects of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir shall be eligible for appointment and in case of non-availability of a person of requisite expertise and experience, candidates from the rest of the country will also be eligible.
3. The appointment will be initially for three years on a contract basis, extendable for a further period of two years at the discretion of the Appointing Authority subject to performance evaluated by the concerned Selection Board
4. The maximum age limit shall be 55 years to be calculated as on the closing date of submission of applications.
5. A confirmed/regular Civil/Government Servant working under the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir having requisite qualifications and experience can also apply for contract appointment through the proper channel.
6. The pay Package shall be as follows:
   1. Package of pay and allowances of BS-20 (Negotiable by the Selection Board).
   2. 30% of the minimum pay scale as social security benefit in lieu of pension provided that a person who is already retired and getting a pension shall not be eligible for this benefit.
   3. Annual increments as pay scale of the post, and ad-hoc/special relief, given to the regular Govt. servant shall also be admissible.
7. Only short-listed candidates will be called for a test/interview.
8. Incomplete applications and those received after the due date will not be entertained.
9. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test/interview.
